Day 8 - Back At It

Back at it today. I was worried that it would be difficult to go back to eating healthy after I strayed for three days but it’s been easy. I did have cravings for mashed potatoes and donuts but I squashed those cravings. So the day.

Woke up hungry and made scrambled eggs with cheese for breakfast with Morningstar Farms sausage links and a can of V8. I can honestly say I’m egged out right now so when I went grocery shopping, I looked for a new breakfast. I hit Fareway first for fruit and Vitamin water and cheese. I like cheese when I wake up in the middle of the night and need a little snack.

I then headed to Hy-Vee which was like old home week. I ran into someone from the synagogue, two fellow teachers, and a former student. Luckily I didn’t look like I usually do during the summer which is usually one step up from homeless street person. LOL Anyway, I decided for breakfast the rest of the week I would go with a protein bar and some milk. I’m a little worried that having a sweet breakfast will cause me to crave sweets for the rest of the week so I also got Morningstar Farms sausage patties to counteract the sweetness.

Lugging in groceries is a good form of exercise because I take all the bags at once. No going back and forth from the apartment to the garage for me! After putting everything away, I did my five minutes on the mini-bike. It really is a challenge for me but I’m going to try and work up to ten minutes by the end of the week.

Lunch was my usual salad. Greens, turkey slices, colby jack shredded cheese, sunflower seeds, and ranch dressing. I also had a lemonade Vitamin Water Zero. Then, it was nap time. It should have been writing time but I’m slow in getting around to writing so I’ve set a goal to be setup in that department by next Monday. I already know that I’ll be binge watching the latest seasons of The Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Orange is the New Black starting with Thursday so there’s no reason to move my computer to my desk until after the weekend.

I had pineapple for a snack when I woke up from my nap and then dinner was Morningstar Farms pizza burgers with no bun. I had tried one last week but they needed a little ‘fixing up.’ They tasted nothing like pizza so I bought some pizza sauces and mozzarella and added those two those things. It helped; they were good! I took a pic for y’all. I also added stern Chris to the fridge door.



My mood overall today has been good and it felt good to get back to eating healthy. A friend of mine reminded me to take measurements so I’ll be putting those up every Monday but the rest of my numbers will be daily (thank you, OCD).
